Giants Meet At:
Good Drinking
From meliferra, a London supporter:
"Barnet is great, plenty of decent pubs, but the Hive isn't in Barnet, it's next to Canons Park tube which is 6 miles from Barnet.
"About 15min walk from Edgware which has a couple of ok pubs like the Wishing Well and Change of Hart plus a decent number of restaurants. There is a fairly popular bar next to Canons Park called Moranos. Otherwise it's Wetherspoon pubs at Stanmore and Kingsbury which are one stop on the tube away or drinking at Bakers street before getting the Jubilee line to the ground.
"The 3 bars in the Hive are decent. The food in the main bar is good."
From Footbal Gound Guide:
There is the Hive Bar at the stadium but this is for home fans only. However alcohol is made available to away supporters inside the stadium, in both the seating and terraced areas. The nearest pub is Moranos on Station Road, only a short walk from Canons Park Underground Station. However although it does show Sky Sports it is quite a small bar and may be not suitable for large groups of fans.
Quite close to Kingsbury Tube Station there is a Wetherpoons pub called JJ Moons (which will be familiar to many who have travelled to Wembley Stadium which is not far away). If travelling on the Jubilee Line from Central London, then Kingsbury is only two stops before Canons Park. The address of the pub is 553 Kingsbury Road. Simply turn left out of the station and the pub is down on the left.
An alternative may be to park at Stanmore, where there are more pubs to be found including a Wetherspoons outlet called 'The Man in the Moon' on Buckingham Parade. You can then get the tube from Stanmore to go one stop to Canons Park.
